The result is a universally accessible comedy about learning what one truly wants for oneself and how to deal with the consequences of choices already made. Cinematographer Jason Kwan (Love in a Puff) puts a gorgeous polish on the sights of Beijing to match director Lee Kung Lok's equally attractive cast, led by Aloys Chen (Mulan), Lu Yi (Aftershock), and Yolanda Yuan (Like a Dream). Official selections at the 2010 Pusan International Film Festival and the 2010 Hong Kong Asian Film Festival, My Ex-Wife's Wedding is a crowdpleasing film that explores the complexities of relationships in modern China with a touch of humor. The marriage between Ma Yong (Aloys Chen) and Xiaohong (Yolanda Yuan) seemed picture perfect…until they got divorced. However, Xiaohong seems to be unable to let go of Yong, to the point of intruding on his relationship with his new girlfriend (Debbie Goh). Irritated, Yong decides to match his ex-wife with his bumbling photographer friend Zhang Qi (Lu Yi). But when things begin to go well for the two, Yong realizes that he may still in love with Xiaohong, creating a complicated web of intercrossing relationships that will be difficult to untangle.
